The Great Gatsby Literary Luncheon

You are cordially invited to our Literary Luncheon to be held in the amazing Library at Maryborough Education Centre, theme “The Great Gatsby”, to be held on Thursday 3 August 2017, in aid of the MEC Chaplaincy Program.

This special fundraising event follows the very successful Alice in Wonderland’s Tea Party at Lochinver last year.

We would love you to join us with your friends or colleagues to enjoy an afternoon which includes a unique lunch menu and whimsical entertainment, prizes, an indulgent raffle, and music provided by the MEC Stage Band.

Our themed menu has been created by the MEC Hospitality Students who will also prepare and serve their exciting treats.

Tickets are $25 and are available from Rinaldi’s in Nolan Street Maryborough and MEC Front Reception.

Please arrive after 12:00 for 12.30pm start and concluding before 3.00pm.

Your support of our fundraising effort for the MEC Chaplaincy Program is greatly appreciated and we hope you can join us for our winter celebration together.

Although not compulsory, we encourage our guests and supporters to dress Gatsby Style in keeping with the theme and to make the afternoon even more memorable and great fun.

Words in Winter 2017 – Pre Publicity Meet

.

Great to get together yesterday afternoon with venues and artists for some press from Maryborough Advertiser at KATESCASTLE Book Emporium.  Article appears this coming week.  Some highlights from this year’s celebration of words in all their forms will come from children’s author Susan Day, Gregg Joseph’s annual Aviva Live Soiree always a festival favourite, children’s author/illustrator team Lowen Clarke and Adrian Masterman-Smith, Belinda Fabry’s mini TED style talk, and Lynda Vater’s fireside tales of origin with Susan Day and other storytellers.  Delighted to have two events coming up from Avoca for the first time.  Welcome Hugh Forster and team!  More updates to come.
